Chem-Dry Vs. Steam Cleaning

There are several key factors that differentiate Chem-Dry cleaning and regular Steam Cleaning. These factors explain how Chem-Dry cleaning provides an option that uses less water and requires less drying time. We provide both options so the choice is completely up to you!

Chem-Dry is a new low-moisture hot carbonating extraction system. Chem-Dry’s process employs millions of microscopic bubbles to explode dirt from deep in your carpet fibers, so therefore only a fraction of the water that typical steam cleaning requires is used. After the carbonation releases and lifts the dirt, high powered equipment extracts the dirt and moisture from the carpet or upholstery. This cleaning system is approximately 25% more costly than Steam Cleaning, but only takes 1-2 hours to dry.

Steam Cleaning uses well known “green” cleaning soaps and detergents in a high-power extraction system to clean your carpets. This process utilizes water heated to high temperature to loosen dirt then immediately extracts the solution with suction to clean your carpet and upholstery. This cleaning process is effective and affordable but typically takes 4-6 hours drying time.
